SARAH GRAHAM JEWELRY
MARCH 18-20

San Francisco–based goldsmith Sarah Graham built her practice on a material contrast that remains immediately recognizable: the matte black of oxidized cobalt chrome set against warm 18-karat gold, punctuated by colored diamonds. She works from nature at every scale, casting directly from jacaranda pods and decayed wood or rendering forms drawn from microscopic marine organisms, so that a single piece can read as both ancient and precisely engineered. Graham founded Sarah Graham Metalsmithing in 2000, following a two-year apprenticeship under master goldsmith Ronald Hentges in Carmel, California — training that grounded her experimental eye in traditional bench technique. She has since earned Designer of the Year honors from JQ Magazine, and her work still starts the same way: an unexpected form pulled from nature and rendered permanent in metal.
