BARBARA HEINRICH JEWELRY
MARCH 12-13
Barbara Heinrich grew up in Heilbronn, Germany, gathering snail shells, dried noodles, and broken glass — early material for jewelry she sold on the streets of her hometown before she ever formalized the craft. She went on to earn a master’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she found the balance that still defines her work: geometric structure set against organic form. Heinrich hand-fabricates each piece in signature-finished 18-karat yellow gold, often built around faceted gemstone briolettes or opals chosen for their individual color and fire, and finished with details like her handmade granulated gold “Blades of Grass” band. Her jewelry is held in the collection of the American Museum of Natural History, alongside decades of gallery representation across the country.
