Alishan Jewelry
Fine jewelry designer
Alishan Halebian approaches jewelry the way a sculptor approaches form - as a three-dimensional problem to be solved in precious metal. The California-based, Armenian-born designer is a self-taught goldsmith who began his career in 1970, drawing inspiration from sources as far-ranging as Eastern European architecture, West African masks, classical antiquity, and the natural world. His signature technique involves layering different colored metals within a single piece to create works that read as both architecturally bold and, somehow, weightless. Grace Renee Gallery in Carefree, Arizona carries his handcrafted collection, each piece made in his Tustin studio and finished to museum exhibition standards - Halebian’s work has been shown in institutions across the U.S. and internationally, and has received recognition from the American Gem Trade Association, Platinum Guild International, and the International Pearl Competition, among others.
