Fine jewelry by Peter Schmid
Peter Schmid is creative director and owner of Atelier Zobel, the studio in Konstanz, Germany, on Lake Constance, known for bold, painterly art jewelry. Schmid joined founder Michael Zobel in 1995 and took over in 2005. Grace Renee Gallery in Carefree, Arizona, carries the atelier's work, built on its signature fusion of gold and silver.
Schmid designs around unusual stones, often ones with imperfections, and has studied the Japanese lacquer technique urushi. His work took second place at the AGTA Spectrum Awards in the Men's Wear category. A team of master goldsmiths makes each piece.
