Barbara Heinrich is a German-born goldsmith who has hand-fabricated nature-inspired jewelry from her Rochester, New York, studio for decades. Her signature is surface: brushed, granulated and embossed 18-karat gold with burnished edges, set against richly colored gemstones.
Grace Renee Gallery in Carefree, Arizona, carries her collections, which balance hard geometric lines with flowing botanical forms. Heinrich trained through a goldsmith apprenticeship in Germany, earned a master’s degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology and has served as president of the American Jewelry Design Council. Her jewelry is designed to be worn every day and to last.
