Italian Weekend: Timeless Elegance
Italian Weekend gathers seven of Italy’s most recognized fine jewelry houses, each rooted in a distinct regional tradition of goldsmithing. FOPE and Mattia Cielo, both handcrafted in Vicenza, share an engineering-forward approach to flexible 18-karat gold - FOPE’s patented Flex’it mesh and Cielo’s coiling memory-alloy cores both let jewelry move with the body without clasps. Roberto Coin, also rooted in Vicenza’s goldsmithing tradition, conceals a signature ruby in every piece, while Roberto Demeglio, working from Torino, is known for stretch bracelets that pair gold with titanium and ceramic. Giovanni Ferraris, based in Valenza, builds bold cocktail rings and dome settings around large-format colored gemstones. Peruffo, from Vicenza’s Fratelli Bovo workshop, contributes sculptural, experimental gold forms rather than gemstone display. And Chiarelli Milano, founded by Venezuelan-Italian designer Jessica Nasr, brings a newer, storytelling-driven sensibility, with collections inspired by nature and heritage across Italian and Latin influences.
