William Henry: Custom Knifemaker

William Henry is an American luxury design studio founded in 1997 by custom knifemaker Matt Conable, built on a simple founding premise: that everyday objects can rise to the level of ceremony. The studio works with a global network of specialists - Damascus steel master smiths, Balinese silversmiths, Japanese Maki-e artists - to knives and men’s accessories from materials most designers never touch: hand-forged Damascus steel, fossilized mammoth tusk, agatized dinosaur bone, meteorite. Each piece is built in small runs and finished by hand, which means no two are quite identical. The result is wearable objects with real provenance, designed for men who want a story behind what they carry as much as the craftsmanship itself.
